About this position

PhD fellowship at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Public Health, on the structure and context of global health partnerships. The project is part of PEP (Partnership for Education of Health Professionals), a multi-country collaboration spanning India, Kenya and Denmark, and is based in the Global Health Section in Copenhagen with data collection in India and/or Kenya.

The PhD will use a qualitative research approach to examine how global health partnerships are structured and implemented, and how their structure and context affect success, equity, effectiveness and sustainability. The role also includes contribution to capacity strengthening, evaluation and learning activities within the partnership.

Degree level: PhD (3 years, full-time). The position is intended for candidates with a relevant master’s degree in Public Health, Global Health or a related field equivalent to a Danish master’s degree.

Eligibility highlights: experience in low- or middle-income country contexts and/or cross-country research, qualitative methods, strong interest in partnerships, global health, international development and capacity strengthening, and excellent English skills. Desirable: strong GPA, experience in education/global health/health workforce research, global partnerships, publications, and development/research context experience.

Funding: salaried PhD fellowship with pension; monthly salary starts at approximately 31,800 DKK plus pension.
