About this position
PhD opportunity in Chemistry / Materials Science / Organic Electronics at CNRS, France. The MOLTECH-Anjou laboratory (UMR CNRS 6200), part of the University of Angers ecosystem, is recruiting for a PhD project on new pyranopyran-based conjugated cores for organic electronics. The work is hosted in Angers, Pays de la Loire, France, within the Kemtronix team.
The project focuses on the synthesis and study of new pyranopyran-based building blocks and quadrupolar chromophores obtained by adding electron-withdrawing groups. The research combines organic synthesis, optical characterization, electrochemical characterization, and device-oriented testing for next-generation organic photovoltaics (OPV) and OLEDs. Promising molecules will be evaluated as active materials in OSCs and OLEDs.
Supervision: Dr. Maxime Remond and Dr. Philippe Blanchard.
Eligibility highlights: Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent background in Chemistry or Environmental Science. Basic French is required. No prior research experience is required.
Funding / contract: Full-time temporary position (35 hours per week). The post states it is not funded through an EU Research Framework Programme; no stipend amount is provided.
Deadline: 2026-08-21 at 23:59 UTC.
