About this position

AD ASTRA Program Lead at the National Research Council Canada in Ottawa, Canada.

This is a senior research-program leadership role supporting aerospace and defence technology development through the NRC’s new airborne research platform, AD ASTRA (Advanced Defence Airborne Science and Technology Research Accelerator). The program will support research and technology demonstration in areas such as secure communications, electronic warfare, advanced sensing, mission systems integration, and related airborne technologies.

The position is aimed at candidates with a Master’s degree in science, engineering, or business; a PhD is considered an asset. Strong experience in strategic program planning, innovation metrics, RCAF-related work, executive-level advisory roles, aerospace business development, partnership management, and leading complex initiatives is required. A Secret clearance is required, and English language ability is needed. Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

This is a paid employment position, not a scholarship or studentship. The salary range is $143,127 to $183,010, with benefits including pension, health and dental coverage, disability and life insurance, and possible relocation assistance.
