Alisa Wolberg

NIH-funded postdoctoral position available in the Wolberg Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, within UNC’s Blood Research Center. The lab studies hemostasis , thrombosis , and blood coagulation biology, with projects centered on factor XIII biology, fibrin(ogen) degradation, thrombus resolution, and cellular/plasma mediators of FXI biology. Additional opportunities may include women’s health, blood disorders, and pulmonary embolism-related mechanisms. This postdoctoral research associate role is suited to candidates with a PhD or MD in a biological science or related field and prior laboratory research experience. Strong peer-reviewed publication record, experimental design, data analysis, and scientific writing skills are expected. Experience in biochemistry, enzymology, cell biology, histology, mouse models, or bioinformatics is especially relevant. The position is full-time and temporary, with an estimated 12-month duration.
