The Cluster of Excellence “Controlling Microbes to Fight Infections” (CMFI) at the University of Tübingen is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in High-Throughput Microbial Genetics within the Systems Biology of Antibiotics group. This postdoctoral position is centered on microbiology , functional genomics , and high-throughput genetics , with a focus on mapping drug and genetic interactions of bacterial immunity in microbial isolates. The project uses transposon-based and CRISPR-based approaches to characterize genome-wide regulation of bacterial defence systems, and sits at the interface of wet-lab microbiology and systems biology. The role is based at the University of Tübingen in Germany and is supported by ERC-funded research . The appointment is initially limited to three years and is offered at E 13 TV-L, 100% . Applicants should hold a PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field . The post also calls for strong interest in genome-wide functional genetic methods, scientific creativity, teamwork in multidisciplinary settings, and excellent English communication skills.
