Fabien Cottier

Fabien Cottier, Associate Professor at the IDEC Institute, Hiroshima University, is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers and one doctoral researcher (PhD) for a new research group in Japan starting in September 2026. The project sits at the intersection of climate change, land, migration, and conflict , with a strong emphasis on quantitative research methods and the use of survey, census, administrative, and remote-sensing data . The positions are funded through the Japanese Government’s EXPERT-J program (JST) , which offers competitive conditions and generous support for research and travel.
