in education and how AI systems can be designed to better support meaningful human-AI collaboration.
The position is supervised by
Dr. Feiran Zhang
(PolyU) and
Prof. Michail Giannakos
(NTNU). The research environment is centered on
HCI

AI in Education
, educational technology, learning sciences, learning analytics, affective computing, and learner-centered design. The post highlights mixed-methods research, qualitative skills, academic writing, and publication potential.
This is a
fully funded 4-year PhD position
with training and support for conference presentations and journal publications, plus the chance to work with educators, students, and interdisciplinary collaborators on research with educational and societal impact.
Eligibility highlights:
strong background in HCI, AI in Education, educational technology, learning sciences, or a related field; interest in generative AI, learning analytics, affective computing, or learner-centered design; strong mixed-methods experience; clear communication and collaborative skills.
