Pierre Gentine

Postdoctoral positions are available in Pierre Gentine’s group at Columbia University , within the NSF-LEAP center in New York and a new European project based at the Columbia Global Center of Paris . The research focuses on differentiable modeling and AI agents for atmospheric weather-to-climate forecasting , in collaboration with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado. This is a strong fit for candidates interested in physics , atmospheric sciences , weather prediction , climate modeling , and machine learning methods such as neural networks . Eligibility highlights: a strong background in physics and/or atmospheric sciences is required.
