About this position
FAPESP is offering 1 Master's scholarship in Marine Natural Products at the Institute of Chemistry, University of São Paulo (IQ-USP) in São Paulo, Brazil.
The project is titled “Investigation of the role of the microbiome and metabolome in South Atlantic corals regarding the effect of bleaching.” The selected fellow will work on acquiring and analyzing metabolomics data using LC-MS (liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry), contributing to research on microbial metabolites in corals and their possible association with bleaching effects.
Funding: FAPESP scholarship with a monthly amount of R$ 3,270.00.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or related fields. Motivation, passion for science, and the ability to work in a team are required. Knowledge of computer science and computational tools for analyzing metabolomics and/or genomics data is desirable.
