There are also opportunities to engage with ATLID/EarthCARE-related data products and broader stratospheric composition research.
Eligibility and requirements: applicants need a relevant second-cycle qualification, including an MSc in engineering physics, physics, or an associated field, or equivalent credits. Required skills include programming (Python, Matlab, or similar), knowledge of physics/meteorology/atmospheric science, strong English, independence, cooperation, initiative, structure, persistence, and numerical ability. Experience with satellite data, remote sensing, Linux, large datasets, scientific visualization, stratospheric aerosol, lidar, climate modeling, trajectory modelling, or dispersion modelling is an advantage.
Funding and employment: this is a full-time doctoral employment for 4 years at Lund University, with possible extension for teaching and departmental duties up to 20%. Salary is monthly; no stipend amount is specified.
