About this position
MARIHE (Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education) is a fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme for intake 2027, focused on higher education, research and innovation in higher education, policy, institutional transformation, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The programme is designed for future leaders and change-makers who want to work in universities, research-intensive institutions, government agencies, university alliances, international organizations, consultancy, or related sectors.
The programme is open to applicants from all nationalities and from any discipline, as long as they hold a first university degree of at least 3 years / 180 ECTS and have sufficient English language skills. The application package includes a CV, motivation letter, degree certificate, transcripts, proof of English proficiency or exemption, two recommendation letters, and an essay. Shortlisted candidates must also submit a video in Round 2.
Funding is strong: selected students receive a full tuition fee waiver, and Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders may receive EUR 1,400 per month plus support for travel, visa, installation, and subsistence costs. The programme also includes a worldwide health and accident insurance policy and a mandatory minimum 8-week paid international internship.
The study path spans Europe and Asia, with mobility across countries such as Austria, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, China, and India. The language of instruction is English. The application deadline is 21 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m. CEST. Applications must be submitted through the official online portal; email submissions are not accepted.
